Why Sign-up for Deseret Business Watch?

Plain and simple, in spite of how well the general economy is doing within #Utah (aka, the “State of Deseret”), especially in light of the #Covid19 pandemic, the reality is that it’s really hard to stay up-to-date on the #business community in the state:

  • Who’s hot?

  • Who’s not?

  • What are the latest and greatest products/services in the state?

  • What firms are raising money? And how much?

  • What firms have been bought?

  • What firms are buying others?

  • Who are the people to watch?

  • Who are the people to avoid?

  • What laws / regulations are impacting businesses in Utah?

  • And what other factors are helping make Utah’s business community succeed, struggle or fail?

SO … instead of just focusing on the braindead-obvious, above-the-fold, once-in-awhile stories, Deseret Business Watch aims to help you quickly and simply fill-in-the-gaps every week on what else is going on in the state. And perhaps, in the process, Deseret Business Watch will give you a more robust understanding about what noted radio broadcaster, Paul Harvey, used to call “the rest of the story.”

The plan is to publish Deseret Business Watch each Monday morning (holidays too). But from time to time, we expect that we will also publish a midweek issue if

  • Something really big happens, or if

  • Something gets stuck in our craw.

Otherwise, look for us once a week.

To subscribe, or not to subscribe, that is the question.

With apologies in advance to the playwright, do you actually need to subscribe to Deseret Business Watch? Of course not.

But if you like what you’ve read/are reading, the only way to ensure you keep getting the news and insights from Deseret Business Watch is to subscribe.

That way, each copy will come direct to your inbox.

And in case you were wondering, as of today (mid-January 2021) we’re producing Deseret Business Watch gratis (aka, free). Will that always be the case? Who knows. But for now, subscribing costs nothing.

Besides, each new subscriber will provide us with a bit more validation that what we’re doing is worthwhile. So yes, please subscribe by clicking the button below and signing up.

Last of All — How to Submit News Tips

In closing, if you would like to propose a news tip, story idea, or give us advance notice on an announcement you believe others in Utah’s business community will absolutely want to know about, please send give us a heads-up!

The best way to do this is to shoot us the info via the button below.

Submit A News Tip

{NOTE: And if your News Tip needs to be anonymous or kept secret until a certain time/day (aka, Under Embargo), that’s not a problem. Just make sure you include that in the info you send us.}

Anyway … that’s it.

And thanks for your interest in Deseret Business Watch and (hopefully) for subscribing.

Sincerely,

Team DBW

P.S. For short, news and informational tidbits throughout the week, we also invite you to follow us on Twitter at @DeseretBizWatch. Thanks!
